These Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions on this site. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights.
These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with English Law, and any claim brought under these conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Law.
We may change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted onto the site (see date above). You will be asked to read and accept the terms and conditions each time you place an order, to ensure that you are familiar with the most current ones and indicates your agreement to be bound by the currentTerms and Conditions.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We will send you a sales order requesting a 30 per cent deposit; the balance being paid on completion before the delivery. A sales order will be processed only when the deposit is received, and delivered only when the balance has cleared.
All our products are made to order to your specifications, coming mainly from the UK, but also from France. In the event of a mixed order, the transport charge will be greater. We are using a specific French transport company for our French oak range.
Our tables from France are delivered flat packed with only one driver who will need someone to help him unloading the packages.

Most orders take approximately 6 to 12 weeks to be completed. |

Returns Policy
Once your order has been acknowledged and your proforma invoice accepted by you, the order is non-changeable and non-refundable. Delivery can be expected only once the invoice is fully paid.
By agreeing a proforma invoice with Shady Palm Limited you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and have read and agree to the use of your information as set out in our privacy policy.
We endeavour to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products on our website, however, as different computers display colour tones differently we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of the pictures or photographs that are shown. If you are concerned about an item's finish please call our Customer Service and they may be able to send you an example.
FAULTY GOODS:
The following are guidelines. Wherever possible we will respond to your individual circumstances.
Whilst we do our utmost to ensure your goods arrive in perfect condition, if you should find any problem with your order, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the situation.
A signature will be required to acknowledge delivery of your order. This signature will be proof that you or the person to whom the order was addressed has received the order. Ownership of the items in your order will pass to you on delivery.
Signing the delivery note indicates that your order is in good condition, unless specific indication of the damage is notified on the delivery slip.In this case, we recommand that you simply refuse the delivery.
You have also 14 more days from date of delivery in which to report any faulty electrical items, and we ask you to follow up your initial contact in writing by way of an email to info@shadypalm.co.uk.
We will normally offer a prompt repair. In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault.
This promise does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the item to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.
FLAT PACK FURNITURE:
If you are ordering flat pack furniture (mainly our French oak range) we ask that you check all the components are in the package and in good order, before attempting to assemble the furniture. Those items are coming from France, and during the transport they may become damaged.

RIGHT TO CANCEL, RETURNS AND REFUNDS FURNITURE:
Cancellation of made to order furniture can only be accepted before you pay the required deposit.
If for any reason you cancel all or part of your order after this period, other than fault on behalf of Shady Palm Ltd, you will be charged 50% of the cancelled item(s). This sum will be payable by you within 7 days of the item(s) becoming available for delivery. We apologise for this charge, but it is necessary to offset our handling/clearance costs.
If the goods do not fit into your property and the order is subsequently cancelled by yourself, then a 50% cancellation fee will be charged (clearance/handling costs). It is your responsibility to ensure that goods will fit into your property. Dimensions of the items of furniture ordered are available on request.
Please note that your right to return items to us in accordance with these terms and conditions is in addition to any other statutory rights you may have.
